If you are applying for an SSL certificate, the domain information in the WhoIs database must match your SSL certificate information.
However, many companies have a private registration which does not show their company information in the WhoIs lookup. In this case, the company that is hosting your private registration would have to provide a domain authorization letter to the SSL provider that states that the domain is owned by the company applying for the SSL certificate.

The most common company used for private registration is Domains By Proxy.
To obtain the Domain Authorization letter from Domains By Proxy, go to the website www.domainsbyproxy.com and log in.
On the initial screen will be 3 tabs. Click on the right tab as shown in the image below.

The following screen will require the following input as shown in the image below.

Once that has been submitted, please notify your PCS rep. and we will continue processing your SSL certificate and notify you as soon as it has been issued and implemented.
